Product/Cost reports

Report on reality, not history.

Cent-perfect cost reports built from the live commercial record. Every line in full, every report on demand, and snapshots on your own cadence — never reconstructed at month-end.

The cost report is a view of the record, not a rebuild of it.

01 · Four columns

Budget, committed, forecast and actual.

Budget versus committed versus forecast versus actual, in one view. The whole cost position of a project sits on a single line, not scattered across four spreadsheets that never quite agree.

03-200 · Structure
Concrete structure
Subcontract
Budget$4,260,000
Committed$4,180,00098% of budget
Forecast$4,310,000
Actual$2,980,000Paid to date
Variance −$50,000Live, reconciled from the record
02 · Every line in full

Budget, variations, committed and paid.

Open any budget line and see it whole: the original budget, the approved variations that lift it to the current budget, anything still pending, what is committed and what has been paid. Every figure is reconciled from the record, correct to the cent whenever you open it.

One line, four truths

The whole cost position, in one view.

Budget
The agreed target

What the project was set up to cost, held as the baseline every other column is measured against.

Committed
Contracts and orders

Subcontracts, purchase orders and other commitments already made against the budget.

Forecast
Cost to complete

Where the position is heading, including variations in flight and known exposure.

Actual
Paid to date

Claims assessed and payments made, reconciled straight from the commercial record.

The reporting cadence

Common questions.

Where do the numbers come from?

Every column reads the same live commercial record: procurement, contracts, variations, claims and payments. Nothing is re-keyed into the report, so there is no second version of the truth to reconcile.

Do I still need a month-end reconciliation?

The report is a view of the record rather than a rebuild, so it is current whenever you open it. There is no separate reconstruction to run before you can trust the figures.

Are the totals accurate to the cent?

Yes. Claims, variations, purchase orders and payments are reconciled as they happen, and every line, subtotal and total reconciles exactly across the four columns.

What reports can I generate?

Ten formatted PDF reports — the full cost report and executive summary, the variation register, the risk and opportunity register, PO and invoice positions, labour and staff reports and more. Each is generated from the live record on demand.

Can I snapshot the report on a schedule?

Yes. Capture a point-in-time snapshot whenever you need one, or set snapshots to run automatically weekly, fortnightly or monthly, then compare any two to see exactly what moved between them.
