Pricing questions
Is pricing really the same for everyone?
Yes. Builders, subcontractors, consultants and clients all pay the same price and get the same features. Your role determines what you do on the platform, not what you pay, and we never price on your turnover.
Do you price based on project value or turnover?
No. We charge one flat price per seat, full stop. We do not take a percentage of your projects, and we do not raise your price because you had a big year. We are invested in your success, not a cut of it.
Is it really free for collaborators?
Yes. Anyone invited to a project can view documents, submit claims and variations, respond to tenders and sign contracts, completely free, forever. No credit card, no seat limits. On the free plan, PDFs carry ClaimStack branding.
What can I not do on the free Collaborator plan?
You cannot create your own projects. Collaborator is for participating on projects you have been invited to. To create and run your own projects you need Claims ($70/seat/month), Procurement ($70/seat/month) or Commercial OS ($140/seat/month).
Should I start on Claims or Procurement?
They cost the same and neither one contains the other, so pick the side of the job you want to fix first. Claims is for getting paid and paying others: payment claims and schedules, variations, subcontract and consultant administration. Procurement is for buying the work: the procurement schedule, tender packages, bid levelling, award approvals and executing the contract. If you need both, Commercial OS is the two together plus the finance side, and you can move up at any time without losing anything.
What does Procurement not include?
Procurement takes a package from schedule to signed contract, but it does not run the payment claims that follow. Once you want subcontractors claiming against the contracts you have awarded, and payment schedules going back to them, that is Commercial OS (or Claims if you only need the claims side). Transmittals and consultant or shop-drawing approval workflows are also Commercial OS.
What is the difference between Claims and Commercial OS?
Claims ($70/seat/month, or $61.25 annual) covers projects, payment claims, variations, subcontracts and consultants. Commercial OS ($140/seat/month, or $122.50 annual) is the full commercial operating system: everything in Claims and Procurement together, plus invoice inbox, payment batches, cashflow forecasting, financial hub, transmittals and timesheets.
Is there a minimum number of seats?
No. Start with a single seat if that is all you need: one Claims or Procurement seat is $70/month, or $61.25 on annual billing ($735 a year). Add seats whenever you like and volume discounts apply automatically. Collaborator is free with no seat limits.
How do volume discounts work?
They apply automatically based on seats, and every seat is charged at the same discounted rate: 10% (10 to 24 seats), 15% (25 to 49 seats) and 20% (50 or more seats).
Monthly or annual billing?
Annual billing saves 12.5% (about 1.5 months free) versus monthly, and volume discounts apply on top. Switch anytime.
What are the one-time fees?
If you are not on a paid plan, running a tender incurs a one-off Tender Fee of $199 ex GST per project, which covers up to 5 packages on that project. Contract Generation ($100 ex GST) creates an AI-powered contract document tailored to your project, ready for electronic signing. Both are included on Claims, Procurement, Commercial OS and Enterprise at no extra charge.
What about GST?
All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD), excluding GST. GST is added at checkout for Australian businesses.
What are the standalone products?
ClaimStack Invoices (AI-powered AP automation from $29/month ex GST) and Timesheets (WhatsApp and SMS collection from $19/month ex GST) work without a seat-based subscription. Both are already included on Commercial OS and Enterprise at no extra charge.
